Return of the MFer (200 mile route)
Completed the 2012 MFer ("Mostly Flat") ride with Beth Sanborn and Mike Bangert. 200 miles in one day from Columbia, IL to Grand Tower, IL and back again. Not up to doing the full 300 miles to Cairo and back like I did back in 2010, but it's on the radar for next year...

Hiking the Meramec Flood Waters
Spent the day hiking (and wading) through the flood waters of the Meramec River. It was like sitting in a bathtub filled with bugs. Every creepy crawly you could imagine was clinging to a tree trunk or blade of grass just trying to stay out of the water.
